GRAPEFRUIT
With anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-parasite action. Acts favorably on the physiological reaction of the organism to infections. It acts against potentially harmful gram- and gram+ bacteria, as well as acting against fungi and viruses. The principles contained in the seeds disintegrate the cytoplasmic membrane of the pathogenic cell preventing its nutrition, which makes the absorption of amino acids difficult and consequently causes the death of the microorganism itself.
TEA TREE
With anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory action Tea Tree oil has a variety of activities: antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, antiprozoal, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. Terpinene-4-ol is considered to be the main responsible for these. The antibacterial activity has been demonstrated against a wide spectrum of microorganisms for most of which the values of the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) are less than or equal to 1% (v/v). The essential oil of the Tea Tree acts mainly as a bactericide, although at low concentrations it can act as a bacteriostatic. It has been described that several mycoorganisms associated with bacterial vaginosis are more susceptible to the action of Tea Tree essential oil than commensal symbiotic lactobacillus. Therefore, as regards the antifungal action, it shows activity against yeasts, dermatophytes and other flaming fungi, being especially susceptible Candida Albicans and other Candida sp. with minimum fungicide concentrations between 0.12 and 1 %.
