Evening primrose oil is obtained by cold-pressing the seeds of the Oenothera biennis plant. Also known as primrose, it is a very popular plant in the treatment of feminine disorders.
It can also be easily found as an ornamental plant in public and private gardens for its beautiful flowers that only open at night.
Characteristic properties:
Texture : Thick green liquid. Color : Deep yellow to greenish. Odor : Sweet and nutty.

These essential fatty acids are the reason why GLA is used as a dietary supplement and in naturopathy, since it has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties and benefits for brain function.
It is also attributed with hormonal regulating and antihypertensive properties, although there are no definitive studies on these activities.
